【Baobaooo’s Custom Doll Experience】
Baobaooo has been designing and producing cotton dolls since 2022, with hands-on experience transforming two-dimensional characters into three-dimensional dolls. She is also familiar with the practical limitations of embroidery, styling, and manufacturing.
Through years of working closely with trusted doll manufacturers, Baobaooo has learned how to communicate design requirements clearly and refine production details so that each character’s unique features translate beautifully into doll form.
Working with Baobaooo saves you the trouble of navigating the process alone, communicating directly with factories, and going through repeated rounds of trial and error.
【A Custom Doll Project】
A client reached out to me because she had always dreamed of creating dolls of her three favorite couples. She decided to begin with the three “wives” first! :D It was such an exciting project, and we began right away.
We started with a few simple steps to identify the defining characteristics of each character and determine the preferred style for the dolls. I then spent several days learning about the characters before presenting the first design drafts.
After a few rounds of feedback and small adjustments, the final designs were approved!
The finalized designs were then sent to a professional and trusted manufacturer for production. After several rounds of communication to confirm and refine the details, we confidently moved forward with production.
A few weeks later… ta-da! The dolls were complete!

Baobaooo especially recommends making 10cm or 20cm dolls. These sizes offer the widest selection of doll clothes, allowing you to fully enjoy dressing and styling your dolls. Special body types and other sizes may also be available upon request.
【How It Works】
- After you place your order and pay the deposit, Baobaooo will discuss your ideas and requirements with you before creating the doll design.
- Once the design is approved, the remaining balance will be collected and the finalized design will be sent to a trusted, long-term manufacturing partner for production.
- When the doll is complete, Baobaooo will inspect the finished product before shipping it to you.
The entire process—from design to production and delivery—usually takes approximately three months. The timeline may vary depending on the complexity of the design, the number of revisions, and the manufacturer’s production schedule.
【Pricing】
- Custom doll: US$200 per doll, regardless of size. A US$70 deposit is required to begin, followed by a US$130 balance after the design is approved.
- Shipping: US$8 within the United States, US$17 to Asia, and US$22 to other regions.
